Looking for a Child-Free Home for Our Dog

We are looking for a new home for our sweet boy. We adopted him in May 2026, and he is approximately 2–3 years old. We are unsure of his breed, but he is a wonderful, loving dog in many ways and has been a good part of our family.

Unfortunately, we have had two incidents that have made us realize that our home is not the right environment for him. He bit a teenager once, but thankfully did not break the skin. More recently, he bit our toddler in the face and did break the skin. Because we have a young child, we can no longer safely keep him in our home.

We want to be completely transparent about his history because finding him the right and safe home is our priority. We believe he may do well in a home with no children, preferably with someone who has experience with dogs and is willing to be patient with him and work on whatever may be contributing to these behaviors.

This is not a decision we are making lightly. We care about him deeply and want to find him a home where he can be safe, loved, and successful. He cannot go to a home with children.
