VenmoBought this mattress used about four years ago. The previous owner said it had been lightly used. My son has used it some weekends since then as he's mostly been on a mission and away at school. It's had a waterproof mattress pad on it since we've had it and there are no weird stains or smells.
It's very soft! It's very tall, which is why we have the low profile box springs.
