Has the wooden braces in it that can support two box springs directly, or you can use the show additions that allow a mattress to lay directly on top of it. Also have a large piece of plywood to help distribute the weight, though that is unneeded if going the box spring route.

Frame itself is exceptionally sturdy, and likely done by hand in the old style. Frame can be disassembled into sections. The people that had this before us started whitewashing it as a project, but fortunately only got some of it done. Quite possible to wash/scrub the white sections to bring back the lovely red wooden finish, but will take a bit of work.

Make sure you have a vehicle long enough to fit the various sections, and, of course, a couple people who are capable of moving the frame around to get it out of the house.
