Selling my Alvarez AG610 acoustic guitar, along with essentially everything you’d need to take care of it and play it.
I care a lot about this guitar, and it has been well cared for and professionally set up by a luthier. I’ve set it up with percussive acoustic playing in mind, but it plays beautifully with just about any style—fingerstyle, flatpicking, strumming, hybrid picking, or more traditional acoustic playing.
One of the unique additions is a homemade removable scratch board mounted on the upper-right area of the guitar. It’s designed specifically for percussive playing and can be scratched, tapped, or slapped to add percussion while playing. There is a small air gap between the board and the guitar that helps amplify the percussion sound. It can be removed if you prefer the guitar without it.
Included with the guitar:
- Hard case\
- Soft travel case\
- Pick case\
- Large assortment of picks – standard picks in a variety of weights as well as thumb picks for fingerstyle/hybrid playing\
- Leather guitar strap\
- Cloth guitar strap\
- Removable homemade percussion/scratch board\
- PickClip – a leather pick holder mounted to the back of the headstock. It has an easily accessible slot for quickly grabbing a pick while playing, plus a clasp that opens a larger pick-storage compartment.\
- Passive hard-case humidifier – helps protect the guitar from drying out, warping, or cracking, especially in dry climates\
- Capo
The guitar has been professionally set up by a luthier and is ready to play. I’ve put a lot of care into keeping it in good shape, and if requested, I’m also happy to provide the new owner with instructions on proper storage, humidity, and general care so it can stay that way.
This has been a guitar I genuinely care about, so I’d love for it to go to someone who will play and enjoy it. The percussive setup makes it particularly fun for someone interested in modern fingerstyle/percussive acoustic playing, but none of that takes away from its ability to be a beautiful, straightforward acoustic guitar for virtually any style.
