VenmoFor sale is a Titleist TSR 1 9° driver with a unique setup that combines a lightweight head with a heavier, stiff-flex shaft that is standard length, 45.76”.
The TSR1 is the lightest driver head in the TSR lineup, designed to help increase clubhead speed. It currently has the standard 9-gram head weight, and I’m also including an 11-gram weight if you prefer a little more head weight and added stability.
The shaft is a Mitsubishi Tensei 1K Black 65-gram, stiff flex. This combination works especially well for a player who generates plenty of force in the swing but could benefit from the additional clubhead speed of a lighter head. You get the stability and control of a stout shaft without the extra weight of a traditional driver head.
The grip is a Lamkin UTX, standard size with three wraps of tape, which gives it a feel similar in size to a Golf Pride MCC Plus4. I specifically use the UTX because its uniform profile means the grip feels the same regardless of how you adjust the Titleist SureFit hosel.
Adjustability: The TSR1 offers a wide range of loft and lie settings. Loft can be adjusted from +1.5° to -0.75°, and lie can be adjusted from 1.5° upright to 0.75° flat. See the Titleist SureFit adjustment chart for all available settings.
And one thing that shouldn't be overlooked: this driver looks and sounds fantastic.
The original Titleist headcover is included and is like new. I never used it because I used a custom headcover instead.
The good: Great-looking, great-sounding driver with a premium shaft, lots of adjustability, two head weights, and a nearly new headcover.
The bad: There is one small dent on the toe from a bad swing that caught the ball in the wrong spot. It does not affect the performance or function of the driver, but cosmetically, it looks a little wonky. I’ve priced the club accordingly.
Overall, this is a great-performing, unique driver setup at a fantastic price. A new TSR1 was around $400 plus tax, and this one includes the upgraded shaft setup and an additional head weight.
