Meet Roux ️
Roux is a 1-year-old purebred Cane Corso, born on June 7, 2025. I brought her home from a breeder when she was just 8 weeks old. She had been through a rough start in life—she arrived malnourished with a large gash in her ear—but she has grown into an amazing dog.
She is the goofiest, funniest dog you’ll ever meet. She’s a little derpy (and honestly not always the brightest), but that’s part of what makes her so lovable. She has a huge personality, loves her people, and is incredibly affectionate. She is very high energy and thrives on attention and spending time with her family.
Making this post is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do.
Unfortunately, life has taken a difficult turn. Between ongoing health issues, working a second job to keep up with medical bills, and raising my daughter as a single mom, I simply can’t give Roux the time and life she deserves anymore. We live in an apartment, and my roommates aren’t dog people, so it’s become increasingly unfair to her. She deserves a home where she has space, attention, and someone who can truly dedicate time to her.
This decision absolutely breaks my heart because Roux is my daughter’s best friend, but loving her means putting her needs first.
A little about Roux:
Because of her breed, I will only consider homes that have experience with large guardian breeds, preferably Cane Corsos or similar breeds, or someone who is very knowledgeable about the breed and committed to continuing her training and socialization.
There will be a higher rehoming fee to help ensure she goes to a serious, committed home. I’ll also send the rest of her food with her.
If you believe you can give Roux the life she deserves, please send me a message and tell me a little about yourself, your home, and your experience with large breeds. Finding the right home is far more important to me than finding a home quickly.
