2005 Yamaha Bruin. This is my wife’s quad. She only uses it a few times a year to ride Skyline up Fairview Canyon. It doesn’t want to go fast anymore. Just happened one day on a ride.
In an attempt to correct this issue I have replaced the CVT belt, wet clutch, and rollers. Also put in a new spark plug, air filter, fresh oil change and ran the carburetor through an ultrasonic cleaner. Maybe it’s a rev limiter/sensor issue? It only goes about 10 mph. See the video. The tires are good. The engine has compression and starts right up, runs fine. We are wanting to get her something a little bigger anyway and so decided to sell this one.
I’m listing at a low price because of the slow ride. Maybe it would be great for deer hunting or just for kiddos to ride since it isn’t too fast. Or you may be able restore it to its original glory. Overall in great shape and although there is no odometer, I would estimate it has 2000-2500 miles. Thanks for looking.
