ApplePayBeautiful, athletic 13-year-old Quarter Horse — 15 hands This handsome gelding is built to work and has the athleticism to excel in the right program. He was mostly used as a cow horse, and a ranch horse, but could do well as a performance prospect. He has been roped off of in the past and has had some arena work, although he has not been in consistent training recently.
He is gentle and personable on the ground and does great with the basics. He loads, ties, stands, and travels well, and he is reasonably easy to catch in a large pasture. We bought him from an amazing horse trainer.
He is best suited for an intermediate rider who understands how to work through a horse's quirks and continue his education. He has developed some bad habits from inconsistent handling, including recently testing his boundaries by rearing when asked to work. He also needs continued work on his right rein. These are areas that will require an experienced rider and consistent training, but he has shown that he knows more than he is currently demonstrating.
He is a talented, athletic horse with a lot of potential to go in any direction and could be a really nice partner for someone special.
