VenmoThis is absolutely breaking my heart to post. My landlord sold the house we’ve lived in, and we have to be out in 2 weeks. The place we’re moving to will not allow me to bring my boy with us.
My biggest hope is to find someone willing to keep him for about a year while we get back on our feet and work toward getting into a home where I can bring him back to his family. If you're close enough, I would love to visit him weekly and provide his dog food. I don't expect someone else to financially support my dog—I just desperately need somewhere safe for him to be.
If temporary placement isn't possible and someone wants to give him a permanent, loving home, I'm asking a $300 rehoming fee, negotiable, simply because I need to know he's going somewhere he will be loved and cared for.
He is intact and does best with female dogs, although he can get along with some males. We were told he was AKC registered, but the previous owners did not give us the actual paperwork. He is microchipped and will come with his tactical harness, leash, and his favorite toy.
Please understand, I do not want to give up my dog. He's family. I feel horrible even writing this. But my husband and son are both disabled, and as much as part of me wants to say I'd rather be homeless than leave my dog, I cannot put their health and safety at risk.
I'm trying to make the best decision I can in an absolutely awful situation and hopefully find someone who understands that I'm not trying to get rid of him—I'm trying to find a safe place for him until I can bring him home again. 😭❤️
