Im selling a rare Dodge Demon that is very coveted with Mopar enthusiasts.
In 1972 Dodge made about 10,000 Demons. Only 3,000 had the optional 340 engine and even fewer also had the manual transmission. There is only believed to be about 100-200 340 4 speed Demons still in existence today.
This specific car was purchased by my father in 1992. The previous owner had used it as a race car to run down the drag strip 1/4 mile at a time. Shortly after my father picked it up, he started to disassemble the car and started collecting "spare parts" in hopes of doing a full restoration someday. He had personal issues that kept that from ever happening, and the car just sat.
Eventually, he was diagnosed with cancer and knew he was never going to finish the project. So he took a 360 motor out of a Dodge Ram and threw it in the car just so he could drive it around the block one last time. He did that back in about 2015, and then it continued to sit.
I still have the original numbers matching engine block, and the original J heads. The original engine is currently out of the car. Something happened to the 360, so this is currently a non-running car.
So what I have today is a very low mileage (21,000 original miles) numbers matching Dodge Demon 340 4 speed. A car you will probably never see again. I realize the condition is very poor, but I have an extra hood, doors, trunk lid, fenders, and a bunch of other miscellaneous items to help get it back into condition.
I understand it will be difficult for someone to resell this car for a profit due to the work it needs. Therefore, this car is most likely a passion project for someone. A chance to own a rare piece of muscle car history. I do not want to sell this car to a reseller just wanting to make a buck, unless they are willing to pay the price.
I am offering this car for a firm $10,000 cash. That is what the car is worth to me, so any offers less than $10,000 will not be enough for me to let this one go.
I will consider a trade if you have something that would be easier to sell for $10k.
