Our adorable Blue Point Lynx (TICA) Bella just became a new mommy on Saturday, August 9th, in the wee hours of the night and into the morning. It was a long but smooth delivery! Our handsome stud Finn is the daddy, and he is a Seal Lynx Bicolor (TICA). A little more time will be needed to be sure of how many girls and boys they had.
Because Ragdolls are born white, it takes several weeks to see what their coloring will be. By 6-8 weeks, we will be able to have an idea. But because they are purebred Ragdolls, what we do know for sure is that they love to be held, cuddled, and snuggled with! Like all Ragdolls, they are fluffy and floppy and will follow you around like a puppy dog. That is how they got their nickname “Puppy Cats”
They love to be wherever you are. Whenever we come home and walk through the door, our Ragdolls are there by the door waiting for us. We love it!! They cuddle with us in the evenings when we sit down to relax. They are fun and playful and, at the very least, entertaining. And their purring and chirping are like music to our ears!
Ragdolls love to play with their people! They are smart and very fast learners! They can easily be trained to do tricks! Some of our Ragdolls can do somersaults! (For treats, of course!) They have even learned to play fetch with rubber bands! Our Queen Darla has mastered the cat wheel and refuses to go to bed until you watch her nightly ritual of taking a run on the wheel! She never forgets!! It's quite funny!!
Life has been so much more fun and interesting having Ragdolls in our home. They are a pure joy, and we never get tired of them or looking into those beautiful, stunning blue eyes that Ragdolls are famous for. Also, Ragdolls tend to shed less than some other breeds, which may be easier for people with allergies. Just saying!
Most Ragdolls typically go for anywhere from $3,500 to $5,000, especially if you buy out of state. Our prices at Shadow Mountain are more than half of other breeders' prices!! Utah may not have very many Ragdoll breeders to compete with, but we can't justify charging those higher prices.
Ragdolls are indoor cats only! They don't have the fighter instincts that most cats have. Ragdolls are also prone to wandering, especially when in a heat cycle. You don't want to take the chance of someone taking your very sought-after Ragdoll cat! So, consider that before deciding to purchase one of these beauties!!
Our kittens will be ready for their new families when they are fully weaned, litter box trained, and socialized, which will be sometime in early to mid-October.
If you want to reserve one or more of the kittens and reserve your place in line to choose your new little kitten, a deposit of $400 per kitten will be required. Deposits will go toward the cost of your kitten. Deposits are not refundable but can be rolled over for a hold on a purchase from a future litter if and when available. Deposits can only be rolled over one time.
We are happy to give a $100 discount if purchasing a second kitten from the same litter. Two cats are definitely better than one and make for happier and less lonely pets when you are away from home. Just a thought!
Our cats and kittens are being raised in a loving home environment with attention to temperament and socialization. They have plenty of playtime with all of our grandkids who adore them and visit them often.
