GooglePay2013 USA Professional Standard Telecaster. It has the classic Tele neck pickup and a humbucker at the bridge, which makes it a really versatile guitar. You can get the warmer, classic Tele sound at the neck, or switch to the humbucker for heavier stuff and chunky palm muting. There’s also a button on top of the volume knob that splits the humbucker, so you can still get that bright, twangy single-coil Tele bridge sound.
Everything works great and it’s a blast to play. The neck has a rosewood fingerboard, 9.5” radius, 22 jumbo frets, and a satin finish on the back that feels really nice.
I added Fender chrome locking Telecaster tuners (they retail for about $65) and swapped the original black pickguard for a white pearl one. I still have the original black pickguard and will include it if you want to switch it back.
There’s a small dent on the body that you can see in the pictures. Nothing that affects the guitar or how it plays.
I’m only selling it because I’m putting some money into recording equipment, and over the last few years I’ve found myself needing an electric guitar less and less. I’m still a little sad to see it go. It’s a beautiful instrument, feels great to play, and I’ve always loved how much range you can get out of this particular Tele setup.
From the original Musician’s Friend listing:
“American-made with custom-wound pickups, coil-splitting and smooth-playing neck.”
Alder body, 3-tone sunburst, custom-wound pickups in an HS configuration, coil-splitting bridge humbucker, rosewood fingerboard, 9.5” radius, 22 jumbo frets, and satin-finished neck.
