Remy is a 7 year old male Dalmatian. I hate having to write this post but we are looking for a new home for Remy due to some insecurities around having more small children around him. He is extremely food-motivated and we have had several issues of him seeking food from toddler hands and it has gotten progressively worse. He can be protective over those he is familiar with and being a larger dog (65-70 pounds) it can be a bit to handle. That being said he has been such a loving and sweet dog to our family. He will be sorely missed but we think he can be happier in another home.

He does have a hypothyroid problem and takes a twice daily pill in his food which costs about $30 a month. He is not very active anymore though loves a good walk and historically does well at dog parks. He does well with other dogs though will need a thorough introduction, possibly muzzled, for him to be fully comfortable.

The ideal situation would be a home without small children and new owners with patience, a willingness to train him some more, but that would love and care for him because he will reciprocate it 10 fold. We aren't in a big rush and have Remy's wellbeing in mind so we will be selective about where he goes. If you think you have a space in your home and heart for Remy please reach out.
