You've told us: Spam texts, fake buyers and scam attempts are frustrating. We heard you. That's why we're introducing phone number verification. It’s a quick, simple step that helps keep less trustworthy people off KSL, making buying and selling safer for everyone.
What’s changing on KSL?
You’ll now need to verify your phone number to:
See a seller's phone numbers on listings.
Use text or call as a contact method on your own listings.
It takes less than two minutes, and you only need to do it once.
Why KSL is adding phone verification
Scammers rely on quickly changing phone numbers to send spam messages. Phone verification makes that significantly harder by tying every account to a real, reachable phone number or Identity Verification software (powered by Plaid).
The result? Less spam, more confidence.
What this means for sellers
Fewer scam messages: Verified buyers means fewer junk texts and calls.
More serious inquiries: Connect with people who are actually ready to buy.
Greater peace of mind: Know you have another level of protection when sharing your contact information on KSL.
What this means for buyers
Shop with confidence: Verified numbers are more likely to be legitimate.
Better communication: Access verified contact info to connect directly.
Lower risk: Reduce your exposure to scams and spam.

When you verify your phone number on KSL Classifieds, you can buy and sell using the phone or text option.
How to verify your number on KSL (it's quick!)
When prompted, or whenever you're ready, just follow these steps:
Enter your phone number.
Receive a code via text or call (your choice).
Enter the code.
That's it. The whole process typically takes less than two minutes.
What happens if you don't verify with KSL?
If you choose not to verify your phone number, you can still browse KSL Classifieds and contact sellers using Messages, our internal communication system. You can also contact businesses with a call or text option.
However, without verification, you won't be able to:
View seller phone numbers.
Use text or call as a contact method on your listings.
Want full access? Verify your phone number now. It only takes two minutes.
