What to stock in your RV rental
Discussed in this article
When you rent a home on a vacation site, you expect the place to have all the necessary amenities. Finding out you needed to pack a towel at 11 p.m., after a sweaty day of hiking/shopping/exploring, does not a happy camper make. Your recreational vehicle renter feels the same way. Stock your traveling hotel with all the basics, and perhaps a little more. Mints on the pillow? Now we’re talking.
Kitchenware
One reason people choose RV travel is to have a kitchen at their fingertips. That means standard dishes and cookware are indispensable. You can include them as part of the rental fee or offer a kitchen package. If essentials such as these won’t be included, be sure the renter understands this up front.

Dinnerware: plates, bowls, cups and flatware for each person
Bakeware: cookie sheet, muffin tin, baking pan
Appliances: toaster, slow cooker/multicooker, blender
Pantry
Outfit the kitchen with some pantry staples. Most recipes require just a small amount, so cooks will appreciate having these items on hand rather than needing to pack their own.

Seasonings: salt, pepper, garlic powder, etc.
Storage
Whether you’re packing sandwiches for a hike or putting away leftover rice bowls, you need something to store your food in.
Dining
Of course, part of RV life is enjoying meals in the wilderness — or at a well-maintained park — because burgers just taste better eaten al fresco. Make your rental picnic ready.

Bedding
To feel well rested and ready for your next day’s adventure, your traveling bed should be as comfortable as possible. Provide your RV rental guests with everything they’ll need for a good night’s rest in whatever climate they're traveling through. Again, this could be offered as a package or part of the general fee.
Toiletries
If you’re particular about what goes into your black tank, plan on providing your own supplies such as toilet paper. Other items you may want to furnish:

Hand soap for kitchen and bathroom
Junk Drawer
Think about the random, everyday items you need, even while traveling. Chances are, your renters could use them, too.
Set Up
All the tools required to get your rig settled for the night should be easily accessible. Remember to let your renter know where they’re stored.

Cleaning
Unless you’re offering a daily maid service, your renters will want some cleaning supplies. A tutorial on how to make a towel swan is completely optional.
Extras
Though not required, you can be a rental superhero by including a few frills. Who doesn’t appreciate a welcome goodie bag?
