When your child is facing a serious illness, it’s incredibly difficult. And with hefty medical bills that can go along with it? It’s even more challenging. You can help ease the burden on families who need it most when you donate during KSL’s Give-a-Thon for Primary Children’s Hospital on June 4, 2026.
Where do KSL Give-A-Thon donations go?
The KSL Give-A-Thon is an annual fundraiser for Primary Children’s Hospital in partnership with KSL TV and KSL NewsRadio. Your donations are used to help provide:
Financial assistance for patient families
Therapy programs such as music, art and movement therapy
World-class research
Bereavement counseling

Donations provide financial assistance for Primary Children's Hospital families facing large hospital bills.

Why your help is needed
Primary Children’s Hospital provides care for patients across the Intermountain West, regardless of their ability to pay. In 2025, that included more than 59,800 visits to the emergency room, 19,776 surgeries and over 5 million lab tests.
Since its inception in 1922, Primary Children’s hospital has operated with the motto, “The Child First and Always. Everything we do, each decision we make, is about what’s best for the child, now and forever.”
Your gift makes Primary Hospital’s mission possible. In 2025, donations provided $7.5 million in financial assistance.

Funds raised during the KSL Give-A-Thon provide for programs such as pet, art and music therapy.
How your donations help Primary Children’s patients and families
Along with assisting with medical care costs, donations help fund programs aimed to brighten life for patients and their families.
In the Forever Young Zone, for example, children are free to play with popular toys such as Hot Wheels, Legos, Barbies and Play-Doh. Volunteers — the Kids Crew — are always available to play, read books or go on walks with patients and their siblings, giving parents and family members much needed breaks.
Seacrest Studios, opened in 2023, provides equipment for patients to create their own media. They can make short films, trivia shows and music videos, which are then broadcast on the CCTV network in patients’ rooms.
These unique programs help Primary Children’s continue to provide exceptional services to patients and their caregivers.
Please donate during the KSL Give-A-Thon on June 4 to help support families with the greatest need.
