KSL Classifieds + Petfinder: One listing, two platforms

The Pets category is one of the most paw … err … popular on KSL Classifieds. Approximately 4.9 million users spanning eight states peruse this category annually. Shelters and rescues can garner a lot more attention for animals in need by automatically adding Petfinder listings to KSL Classifieds. 

Automatically? Yes, you read that right.

There’s no need to create separate listings for your adoptable animals. Every morning the KSL Classifieds system pulls Petfinder listings from enrolled organizations and adds the listings to our site. Pictures, descriptions, everything. 

The integration is free for qualifying animal welfare organizations. It’s part of our ongoing effort to find fur-ever homes for the vulnerable dogs, cats and bunnies in our community. KSL Classifieds is also committed to finding safe places where the scaled, shelled or feathered folks can flourish. And potential pet parents want to help, too. They are drawn to listings in KSL Classifieds Pets category that have “Adoption Fees” rather than a price.

How to enroll

Shelters, rescues and other 501(c)(3) organizations must complete a one-time enrollment to utilize KSL Classifieds partnership with Petfinder. It only takes a few minutes.

First, create a KSL Classifieds account (if you don’t already have one). Then email our CommuniTeam, support@ksl.com and let them know you would like your Petfinder listings automatically added to KSL Classifieds. Please include the following:

• Name

• Address

• Email address

• Phone number (indicating if text messaging is allowed)

• Website URL

• Proof of 501(c)(3) status

That’s all you need to do. We’ll take care of it from there!
