The Humane Society of Utah donation match with KSL was a huge success

Fist bump. Or paw bump. Animal lovers are the real MVPs. KSL Classifieds recently partnered with the Humane Society of Utah for a donation match to support local shelters and the precious animals currently there. With your help, we raised $27,544 in just two days! Shelter and animal rescue donations are critical to fund essential care and provide supplies for pets that haven’t been adopted into a forever home yet.

Animal rescue donations make a difference

Who was it who wrote, “I get by with a little help from my friends?” Paul McBarkney? That’s why shelter pets get by with a little help from people like you who are willing to donate.

Lani Watson, corporate relations manager from the Humane Society of Utah said, “As a private nonprofit organization, we rely on the generous support we receive from our community to make it possible for us to help Utah's most vulnerable pets. 

“During this match campaign, the power of corporate and individual donations came together to amplify every contribution made over a two-day period. We are deeply grateful to KSL Classifieds for your generosity and partnership, which helped us extend our reach and provide lifesaving support to even more pets in need,” she said.

Your donations provide food, which is especially helpful for the most vulnerable animals.

Even though this particular donation event is over, you can still make a difference. Every bit of help goes towards life saving programs and care for animals in need.

• Spay/neuter for rabbits, dogs and cats

• Vaccines, food, enrichment activities

• Specialized medical or behavioral care

• Emergency assistance for pet guardians

Juli Ulvestad, pet resource center director for the Humane Society of Utah said, “We really appreciate our partnership with KSL as it enables us to get adoptable animals into homes when we’re overcrowded and adoptions are slowing. Sponsoring adoption fees also enables people who can’t afford an adoption fee but are perfectly capable of caring for a pet the access to adoption they need.”
