Endless trails and unstoppable fun

It is no mystery that Utah is home to some of the world’s most popular off-road trails and destinations. In addition to the state’s 13 national parks, monuments, recreation areas and historic trails (which collectively draw nearly 14 million visitors annually), there are countless opportunities for outdoor exploration in every direction.

The popular Paiute ATV trail, for example, offers a 275-mile main loop that connects to a vast network of side trails. Utah’s diverse terrain delivers mountains, valleys, sand dunes and forests. All you have to do is choose your adventure, pick your vehicle of choice and gear up accordingly.

Decade united

Speaking of gear, that’s where the Salt Lake Off-Road & Outdoor Expo comes in. Originally founded in 2015, the event was established with three main objectives: 1) to promote Utah-based off-road businesses; 2) to promote Utah as a state rich in off-road opportunities; and 3) to unite outdoors enthusiasts in protecting land use.

Ten years later, the momentum is stronger than ever. Last year’s program drew 36,000 attendees, and this year attendance is expected to be even higher. You won’t want to miss it.

Event co-founder Scott Phillips said, “The theme of this year’s event is Decade United. It’s a very special anniversary year for us as we celebrate our 10th year of success in bringing all motorized recreation users together to further our goals in camaraderie and to showcase all that Utah off-road businesses have to offer.

“What makes SLOREX different from other off-road expos is that we are passionate about motorized recreation and land use. We use the Expo as an educational forum to help teach the public how to recreate responsibly.” The Expo is where off-roaders unite.

All-star cast

If the latest in gear and equipment weren't enough, some standout names in the automotive and off-road communities will be making the rounds — and taking center stage — at this year's SLOREX. Among them are Dave Kindig of Kindig-it Design; Brooklyn Mansfield, a 13-year-old competitive rock crawler; and social media celebrities Aqua Jeep Girl, Offroad N Chill, Cowboy Custom Diesel and the Peck Brothers.

Everywhere you turn, there will be something — or someone — you'll want to interact with. If your tires hit the dirt, this show is for you.
