Thousands of years ago, someone discovered that if you leave grape juice out in the open, it turns into a pungent, yet intoxicating, beverage. Then another person discovered barrel aging and revolutionized what beverages could be once again! Now its your turn to find the next "it" item that can be repurposed from oak wine barrels. Write your own cool story with these great wood vessels!

Authentic wine barrels aged fine wines in California, Oregon and France

Made of 1 inch thick oak, and 2 inch wide bands by professional coopers

Dried, so they may not hold liquid; may be rehydrated over time

Delightful aroma included

Will have at least some minor branding, such as the name of the vineyard or year of barreling

All barrels have at least some very light staining from age and/or draining

All barrels sold as is

FAQS:

CAN YOU CUT THE BARRELS IN HALF FOR ME?

Yes, we do cut barrels! Many customers prefer our planter cut halves (cut around their widest point). This process can take up to an hour, so advanced notice is preferred. We can also cradle-half (length-wise) cut barrels; at least 24-hours notice is needed to make these. Our cutting fees are $15 for planter style, or $35 for lengthwise cradle cuts.

WHAT CAN USED WINE BARRELS BE REPURPOSED AS?

They have dozens of uses. Your creativity is the only limit! Here are some suggestions: planters or urban vegetable gardens, unique furniture (table, chairs, wine bottle holders, etc.), rainwater collection, bar top, liquor cabinet, use the slats to make home accessories, BBQ smoking wood/charcoal briquettes, cut lengthwise and make into a baby cradle, decorations for your vintage themed wedding, cut a hole in the top and turn into a dog kennel, wood flooring, or whatever your creativity can dream up. We no longer have barrels available for rental.

Yes! Staves are $1/lb, bands are $2 each, and lids are $25 each.
