Health & Safety Requirement

We require a current canine brucellosis test for all females unless she is a confirmed virgin female.

If brucellosis testing is not provided, AI will be required.

This test helps protect your female and future puppies by screening for a contagious reproductive infection that can impact fertility, pregnancy, and litter health.

Northside Vet in West Haven offers this test for approximately $60. Testing should be done several days in advance so bloodwork is back before breeding.
