W. Walscheid Solingen Civil War period 1840 model Cavalry Sabre with scabbard. Made in Prussia (modern Germany) for the US military. Sabre and scabbard are in great shape. Suffers some degradation of the wrap on handle. Metal is in great shape and has not been polished, so darkened by time. Authentic fine example of cavalry sabre. Getting extremely hard to find in this condition as many are damaged and neglected over time.
