Our 52 Piece puppy whelping kit was designed by a professional breeder to ensure that responsible dog owners have all the skills they need for birthing puppies of large and small breeds.
The birthing kit includes 14 infographics/charts. Reduce stress by learning: how to encourage milk production, what questions to ask your vet, and how to recognize when labor is starting. Learn about typical puppy development and how to conduct 3 essential exercises to help puppies decrease fear/anxiety, develop their sense of smell, and live healthier lives. Stay organized by recording: puppies’ weights (daily and weekly), supplemental feedings, vaccination or deworming, and new families’ information.
Newborn puppy collars for the litter are upgraded from a simple velcro style to an expandable polyester. The collars are gentle, thick enough to withstand puppy play, easy to use, size adjustable, and do not fall off or wear out. 12 colors allow you to quickly identify individual puppies.
A puppy feeding kit is included in case mommy dog cannot nurse puppies (they will need to eat right after birth).
A bulb syringe can help a puppy begin breathing- squeeze the fat end, place the thin end into the puppy’s mouth or nose, then release the fat end to create a suction effect, clearing out amniotic fluid.
Cord clamps and stainless steel scissors can be used to help a mother dog as she is birthing (especially first time mothers who may not know to chew the cord or moms of a large litter). Close the clamp on the umbilical cord 1-2 inches away from the puppy’s belly and cut with the scissors.
