Wanted ~ In Search Of ~ Spent Brewer Grains

I have chickens.

I want the spent grain you discard every brew day!

The chickens love the fresh spent grain.

AND The chickens may produce more eggs as a result!

I can exchange their fresh eggs in trade!

Put your spent grains into five gallon buckets; To prevent bad smells, cover with: A ‘round’ of plastic film (to minimize oxygen deterioration) A lid (to minimize oxygen deterioration) And Deliver them for my chickens As Soon As Possible.

I will wash your bucket clean and ready for pickup the next day.

I also have spare exchange buckets!

If you can't make it in a day or two, Just dump them on your compost pile and mix together!

!¡! CAUTION !¡! Summer temperatures or rotting grain in your bin or trash can lead to bad smells and rodent infestations.

Many birds by your trash cans often means they are eating maggots; At nightfall an army of maggots can exit on your driveway!

There can be flies for weeks!

Chickens also like spent hops if you use a hop basket.

Chickens normally eat all the hops within five minutes.

Use a hop basket for anything over an oz of hops for a five gallon batch for them.
