This is a 1957 Remington Quiet Riter. It’s been serviced (by me—not professionally)and is perfectly clean and in excellent working condition. It includes its original case, which is also in beautiful shape. It has a brand new ribbon and the letters are crisp and bold. It has a nice sound and feel to it. It looks great and types great. I particularly like the forest green keys. The original manual is also included. There’s one feature that doesn’t work consistently, and that’s the reversing of the ribbon. There’s a switch that changes the direction of the ribbon feed. It always works in one direction, but the other is fickle. This doesn’t really affect its usability, however, since it only takes a moment to manually wind the ribbon back to the starting position after it eventually reaches its end. Whether for decoration or regular typing, I think you’ll enjoy this machine.
