This water lettuce is fully acclimated to indoor aquarium life, but I also have some growing outdoors. It is an excellent plant for removing excess nutrients from your tank as it floats on the surface of the water.. The trailing roots provide shelter for young fry, and many fish will lay their eggs among the roots.

This adaptable plant tends to grow larger in response to higher levels of light/nutrients.
