ZelleSuper clean Look 565 full carbon road bike for sale.
Gorgeous, rare, "nude carbon" frameset that really shows the beautiful and artful carbon layup that LOOK does at their factory in France.
Full Shimano Ultegra 2x groupset is in excellent condition. Shifts and brakes perfectly.
I just took the bike into Contender on 9th for an quick inspection and adjustment... mainly because I haven't ridden the bike much in the past year so the cables were a little streched. They also flushed out and re-lubed the shifters. And adjusted the limit stops on the rear derailleur. Cost me a grand total of $25. (But I'm a long time customer there so they usually hook me up.)
This bike was around $4000 new.
The original build kit included a Dura Ace 53t "standard" crankset... which is the top of the line racing crankset... but it just wasn't ideal for a recreational rider that likes to go up into the canyons a lot. So I swapped it out for a new Ultegra 50t "compact" crank a while back... which made a huge difference on climbs... with only about a 35 gram weight penalty (barely over 1 oz). (Will include the original Dura Ace crankset for another $100.)
Tires are newer Conti Gatorkskins.
Bar tape is newer "black carbon" to match the frameset.
Seatpost and drop bars are super light Easton EC90 carbon fiber--as was the original stem... but I swapped that out for a less agressive Specialized stem at some point.
Per the frame sticker this is a "Large" frame... which measures out to be a 56cm (top tube).
This bike has a really amazing ride quality... light and smooth yet stiff with great power transfer and very little flex when you're up out of the saddle on steeper climbs. And really great on twisty, fast descents... where it feels planted and confident.
I love this bike... I just need to make some room in the garage... so I'm having to thin out the herd a bit.
This frameset kind of straddles between a classic road racing bike and a modern endurance bike... so it's a great all-rounder. Not too aggreesive or twitchy... not a pure climbing or crit style bike... so, better for general training and maybe some Cat 5 / Cat 4 amateur road racing... century rides... etc.
Ideal rider height for a frame this size is going to be in the 5'-9 to 6'-1" range.
Bike is spotless and flawless and ready for the road today. Needs absolutely nothing.
If you're not familiar with LOOK it is a well established French brand dating back to the 1950s that pioneered using carbon fiber to build road bike frames--as well as "clipless" pedals--that are ubiquitous in cycling today--and have sponsored European road racing teams for decades. Gred LeMond famously won the Tour de France riding LOOK bikes. And the current TdF winner--and UCi world champion--is sponsored by LOOK. (LOOK currently sponsors Team Cofidis in the men's and women's world tour events as well as USA Cycling and its USA Track Sprint Program.) So, they've been in the bike game a long time--and are still at the cutting edge of cycling.

Bike comes as pictured, with (2) Origin 8 water bottle cages and either SPD-SL pedals or I have some LOOK Keo's, some Speedplays, some TIME Xpresso's... or just some plain ol' SPD's. Just let me know what you prefer before we meet. Right now it has some nice Shimano SPD "flip flop" pedals on it... shown in pics... which have a flat platform on one side and clip-in on the other. Great commuter pedals for a bike that you sometimes ride in regular shoes and sometimes in cleats.
I'm in the 9th and 9th area of SLC and only meet in this area... generally at Contender Bikes on 900 S.
