This is the Hi-Mod carbon version... which is Cannondale's lightest, strongest, most expensive frameset. This is their pro / race-ready Synapse--the same bike Cannondale's pro teams ride in the brutal European Monuments races--like Paris Roubaix and Ronde van Vlaanderen--with their frame (and soul) crushing cobblestone sections.

The Synapse is Cannondale's "endurance" platform... designed for longer, more comfortable rides--even on rougher pavement. (vs the SuperSix... which is their racing platform). A perfect bike for the Salt Lake / Wasatch / Uintah Basin area. Frame clearance allows for up to 32mm wide tires--so--though not a pure "gravel" bike, the Synapse is very capable on rougher and gravel roads--making it a great all-'rounder.

This bike also has Cannondale's C-Zero **carbon wheels--**with new Conti GrandPrix 4 Black Edition 28mm all-season tires. (one of the highest rated / most expensive road tires) recently installed.

54cm / Medium frame size is ideal for riders in the 5'-7" to 5'-10" range but could work for someone a little smaller or a little taller.

Used, full-carbon Synapses are hard to find in general--because people that own them don't often sell them. (There are only about 5 in various sized listed for sale oj KSL as of this listing... including this one.) Hi Mod frames are even more rare--as they are always the most expensive version of any Cannondale model (adding about $2000 to the cost of the bike when new). A Hi-Mod Synapse is very rare (there is 1 other for sale on KSL right now)... and a Hi-Mod Synapse with hyraulic disc brakes is a bit of a unicorn.

• BallisTec Carbon: Cannondale's carbon construction method uses precisely placed high stiffness fibers over a base of high tensile strength fibers and high impact resins to deliver extreme light weight and perfectly tuned stiffness, without sacrificing strength.

Will include after-market, color-matched carbon water bottle cages shown in pics and pedals of your choice (from what I have available... which is currently , Time, LOOK, Speedplay, or Shimano SPD-SL, basic flat pedals, or basic SPDs.).

Bars recently re-wrapped with fresh SupaCaz bar tape... one of the best / most expensive on the market.

This bike is a 9 out of 10. Needs nothing at all. Looks and rides near showroom new. (1 point deducted for general / normal wear from typical recreational riding.)
