This mare will be 5 in January, I got her early this year in hopes of making anew pickup horse. She had 15 days on her when I got her and I had someone put another 30 on her and I rode her pretty consistently for 2 months after that. She’s been out in open country trailing cattle, I’ve had her at the sale barn loading trucks, penning cattle, working gates. Swung a rope on her a couple times but nothing serious. Unfortunately the last few months life has gotten busy and she hasn’t been used. And with a child coming in a couple months I’m afraid nothing will change. Only downside to her, both when I got her, and this last time after a couple months off, she hogged around for about 5 seconds. After that she walks right out. She will stand for a farrier. Doesn’t move at all if someone holds her but if she’s tied she will want to set her leg down every 5 or so minuets. She is an absolute sweetheart and will walk up to you and ask to be loved on. She does have some saddle spots on her withers but they’ve been there since long before I got her and they haven’t gotten worse. Just left the white hair. She’s on the smaller side. I’d say 14.2 or 14.3 but I haven’t taped her. Like I said she’s an absolute sweetheart and I hate to get rid of her but she has too much potential to sit at my place and do nothing.
