Rim deflects down when a static load greater than set point is applied, and returns to the playing position once the load is removed. The adjustable shock absorbing release mechanism is fully concealed within a protective cover. Rim is 5/8 (16 mm) diameter steel with twelve no tie net attachment clips welded to the rim.
