This horn has served me well in brass bands, concert bands and jazz bands for the last 10 years. Now that I have my first kid on the way, I don’t have time for it, as I am primarily a euphonium player.
At the moment, it spends its time gathering dust, when it could be used by a player of all levels. The Conn 88’s pedigree speaks for itself, with a fantastically resonant rose brass bell and silky smooth slide.
When it was being used, it was regularly cleaned and maintained. The slide works great and the trigger has never given me any problems. There are a couple of minor dents in the bell that will not affect the sound, and are hardly noticeable. Apart from where you hold the horn on the bracings, the finish is in great condition.
It comes with a Bach 5G mouthpiece, that has always been rock solid in any performance setting.
Overall, this horn is fantastic and I hate to see it go, but I have more important things to be focusing on. It will definitely serve you well.
