VenmoThis is my travel violin. I absolutely adore this instrument. If I had more of a use for it I would keep it. However, I'm no longer traveling and it would greatly benefit being in another instrumentalist's hands. Its performance and quality is similar to an advance student/university student violin.
This is a factory made violin so you'd think it'd lack character, however, it's performance is astoundingly good. It powerfully projects, it's tone is clear and consistent, it's comfortable and easy to play. I've had no challenges playing it with more complex techniques (i.e. harmonics, large double stops, sautille bowing, ricochet bowing, etc.)
There's minor wear from usage but I've taken very close care of it. There's no functional issues.
Additionally, I also had a custom fitted soundpost and bridge made for it by Adam Day Violins.
It currently has it's original strings on it which I never really used. There not the greatest quality. My personal choice of strings for a warm romantic era tone was:
(E-String) - Jargar (A-String) - Vision Solo (D-String) - Obligato (G-String) - Obligato
The case it comes in looks a little janky because I stripped everything out and inserted better foam as well as a wool lining. It'll do a good job at keeping the instrument safe.
I'm asking $1,200 OBO
