8 hard wired + 3 custom programmable onboard classic tube amp emulations, from Fender, Vox, Marshall, & Mesa Boogie. 3 play modes, the middle one excludes any Digital modeling. 12 effects, tap tempo, noise gate, & many tube biasing options. Tube preamp, solid state, & digital modeling. Great tube amp emulation & touch sensitivity. Factory reset, this amp is designed around an online app called Vox ToneRoom. ToneRoom is an editor / librarian for Vox products. Connect a comparable product to your iPhone or computer via a USB cable to edit tones, manage user programs, & back them up. This amp sounds huge. It has the original 12ax7 tube in it. I’ve priced low enough for a buyer to run it past a qualified tech for a check over, maybe new tube, & a volume mismatch diagnosis. It’s near a 6 year old amp (2019) that saw near 2 years of play. It has one volume issue, I don’t know if it’s user error, solved with a proper tone room set up; or something an amp tech fixes. The issue is this; If I switch to another amp setting under play, it jumps to near full volume. That is a serious issue if any random kid had access to that knob under play, like at guitar center. Touching gain control immediately brings volume back down to settings. Often this volume issue doesn’t happen if I mute my guitar strings before I move the selector knob, & wait a sec. to notice the amp resets it’s preamp tube power levels, then I’m back to playing, at volume setting level near immediately. So that issue doesn’t effect normal playing for me, at factory reset, without having connected tone room, or created any settings whatsoever. Average used price is $350ish. Great amp, & still a popular platform.
