Matt Bellamy Muse Signature Guitar Sustainiac Sustainer Midi Manson Cort tele telecaster XY Kaoss
Cash preferred, no trades.
$950 without case or $1100 with the case.
I have shoulder surgery 1/5/26, so may not check messages for a day or two.
This is about as close as you are going to get to the same guitar Matt Bellamy from Muse plays.
Includes shown hard shell case (Gator LED) worth @ $200.
I took a huge chance and recently bought this online not knowing much about it other than it was a “ mint Manson Cort MBM-1”. I assumed it was modded by Musician Madness in Crowley, Texas, but after taking off the back plates and looking closer, it sure looks like it was modded at the factory based upon the internal paint and how well the wiring, routing and everything was done. It is way better than I expected, build quality much better than I expected, does not seem to have been modded after assembly. Neck feels great, plays great, intonation great, come see for yourself! Only reason I am selling is I am 54-years-old and more of a 80's guy (my favorite guitar is an Ibanez Jem with super thin wizard neck).
It was designed by Manson Guitar Works (owned by Muse's Matt Bellamy) and built by Cort at the Cor-Tek factory in Indonesia. https://www.mansonguitarworks.com/ Based upon how great the build quality is, it likely was built in the Premium area of the factory. There are so few of these with the Sustainiac and XY Midi pad, it is hard to tell exactly which model it really is, may be even a more expensive model, I honestly don't know. I can't find a Manson model # anywhere on the guitar, so not really 100% sure what model this truly is, there are many similar models M1-D1 MB-1 MB-1s DL-1 MB-2E MBM-1 MBM-2, etc. It does say “Meta Series” on the headstock. Come inspect and play to see for yourself.
The Sustainiac sustainer electronics board is labeled “Rev 6.1 01/24”, so made in 2024, so this build must be less than 2-years old...
The guitar was sold to me as “mint”. Just a couple little minor scratches that likely will buff out (see video). It still has the plastic on the back covers and neck plate.
Sustainiac pickup kit alone is worth at least $250 + installation labor.
Full size XY Midi Control Pad (I plugged straight into my Axe-Fx3 and can control nearly anything with this midi control pad). It can also plug in to midi devices and control Digitech Wammy Pedals, Korg Kaoss Pads, Line 6 Helix, Axe-Fx, midi pedals, filters, flangers, keyboards and many more.
Or just use it as a regular guitar. But the MIDI is there if needed and can be used in parallel when desired.
Locking Tuners (Staggered-Height)
Gotoh wrap-around bridge
Manson Designed Custom Humbucker bridge pickup (sounds great!)
Single Coil in with the Sustainiac in neck poistion (acts as single-coil if Sustainiac toggle is off)
Momentary kill switch for stutter effects
2-way toggle for sustaniac sustainer (on/off)
3-way toggle for sustaniac sustainer Mode Select (Normal-Mix-Harmonic)
Volume Knob
Tone Knob
Rotary Encoder Control Knob for the Midi pad
Hold button for the Midi Pad (also toggles the midi pad colors)
2-way toggle to turn midi pad on/off
(2) 9-volt batteries on back (One for midi pad and the other for the sustainiac)
Truss Rod Wheel Adjust for easy adjustments
Hardly any of these for sale with the same electronics, sustainiac, xy pad combo...rare...may increase in value...
I live in Saratoga Springs, but work by the SLC airport. I am in Herriman and Draper almost daily, so should be easy to meet if you want to check it out.
