This is one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to write, but we are looking for the right home for our beloved German Shepherd, Ranger also known as "bug"

He is an incredibly loyal, smart, and affectionate boy who truly loves people. He knows his basic commands like sit stay paw etc, enjoys going on walks, and is just as happy curling up on the couch for a lazy day as he is getting outside and being active. He thrives on human companionship and wants nothing more than to be near his people.

Due to resource guarding and food aggression, he needs an experienced home that understands these behaviors and can manage them appropriately. For this reason, he would do best as the only dog in the home. He does not get along with other dogs, but he can be okay with some cats given proper introductions and boundaries.

He would be an excellent match for:

An experienced dog owner

A home that can take him out a few times a day for walks or enrichment

Someone interested in a working-dog type companion or giving him a “job”

A calm, structured environment where he can feel secure
