GooglePayRecord player with Bluetooth input (cannot output to Bluetooth speakers). Built-in speakers, supports 33/45/78 RPM, headphone jack, RCA output for passive speakers.
PLEASE READ ALL INFO:
I got this record player for Christmas and it works, however, there are some issues with distortion. The issue is very likely fixable, put personally, part of me would rather sell it and put the money towards a nicer turntable than put any work into this one.
I tried replacing the cartridge and needle, but unfortunately, that didn't improve the issue.
After doing some research, I think the tracking force is too heavy. A kitchen scale measures the tonearm weight at about 5.6 grams, which I believe is at least a couple grams too heavy. If the distortion is indeed caused by the tonearm weight, this issue is fixable. The tonearm on this model does NOT have an adjustable counterweight or a spring, but if you are willing to do some fairly simple modifications on this machine, tonearm weight can be adjusted manually. From what I can see online, this would involve gluing small weighted objects to the front or back of the tonearm to adjust its tracking force as needed to your preference. Many people do this with success, but I would personally like to avoid making any permanent modifications to this machine if I keep it.
