Meet June, born on my homestead 4 years ago this summer she is ready to seek a new pasture. She is 7 months fresh, calving last June unassisted, she has had 2 calves with us and completely unassisted, she likes to calve right before you go and check on her. She is currently making about 3.5 to 4 gallons a day with once a day milking and makes about 10 cups of cream with each milking and has delicious milk, she was calf sharing until weaning in December and raised a fat steer. She is currently fed free choice grass hay, 3.5 gallons of alfalfa pellets soaked with water and 4 gallons of Oats, Barley, Molasses mix at each milking. She is very much a routine cow and will walk right out of the gate into her stantion, she has been led on a lead rope and halter but is not the biggest fan but will do it and does well with a bucket of grain and being led via that. When her routine changes she will throw a bit of a fit for a few days until she adjusts, mostly by pooping on the stantion. She has been machine milked both freshenings and doesnt have the biggest teats or patience for hand milking. She has never been a kicker except when taking the milkers off she does a little bit of a dance but nothing crazy. She is a one sided milker, prefering to be milked on her left side, that is just what we have always done so its routine for her. She is not a cuddly cow and prefers not to be pet, very much a business only cow, milk her and feed her and she is happy. She is hot wire trained and respects that and has been kept with cows, goats, and horses. She is confirmed bred with sexed Jersey Semen, due July 17th, Willing to trade for a well broke mare 3500 OBO
