I bought this Hobie Passport 12 brand new in 2022. I have used this kayak two times, literally. The kayak is in great shape and has been stored in my climate controlled living room for the past three and a half years. I have made some upgrades to the kayak. It has the upgraded rectangular hatch with basket and the circular hatch has been moved to the front of the kayak. The kayak also has the mirage drive leash kit and storage nets on the sides. I also modified the seat clamps because of the issue with the seat popping out of the clamp. Hobie knows about this design flaw/ issue and has fixed it with the newer version of this kayak. Unfortunately, Hobie did not remedy a fix for this model year so I took matters into my own hands. The modification with the seat clamps can be used in its original form, or with a plate and thumb screws as seen in the pictures so the seat cannot pop out.
