The Snake Shack has been breeding snakes since 2016, and our focus is to produce small quantities of healthy, affordable animals for ourselves and others. We take great steps to ensure our snake collection is kept free of mites and nidovirus by doing preventative mite treatments quarterly and annual nidovirus tests prior to our breeding season. All new snakes are kept in quarantine for at least three months and must show no proof of mites or receive a positive nidovirus test during this time. As such, we sell all snakes with a guarantee of being free of mites and nidovirus, though as a general practice recommend quarantining all new reptiles for a minimum of 90 days in a separate room from other reptiles.
