Meet Sheriff! This approximately 3 year old medium–large mixed breed has the softest black fur and the most adorable floppy ears you’ll ever see. Sheriff is a fun-loving, goofy boy who’s equal parts cuddly and playful. Sheriff is incredibly smart, food motivated, and full of energy. He has lightning-fast zoomies and absolutely lives for chew toys. Because of his active brain and body, he’ll thrive in a home that can provide plenty of mental stimulation and physical exercise. The good news? Sheriff already has a great foundation! He knows how to sit and shake, is both crate trained and house trained, and walks like a true gentleman on a leash. He’s kid-friendly, though he’d do best with children who can handle some enthusiastic jumping and rough-and-tumble play while he continues learning his manners. Sheriff is also dog-friendly and would be delighted to have a canine sibling in his forever home. He’ll need a tolerant, energetic dog friend who can keep up with (and forgive) his playful shenanigans. Right now, Sheriff is working hard on his house manners and his “place” command, which is helping him stay off the counters and learn how to settle and take breaks.
