Lorelai’s story began with heartbreak. She was found tied to a tree before animal control brought her to the shelter. Estimated to be around five years old, the shelter was overwhelming for her until ManyPaws welcomed her into a loving foster home where she finally had the chance to decompress and learn what it means to feel safe.

Now that she’s had that opportunity, Lorelai’s true personality has blossomed.

She’s a wonderful mix of approximately 33% American Pit Bull Terrier and 31% Labrador Retriever, giving her the perfect balance of affection, intelligence, and playful energy. Whether she’s curled up beside you on the couch or racing around the yard with happy zoomies, Lorelai is simply happiest spending time with her people.

Lorelai thrives on routine, structure, and clear guidance. She forms incredibly deep bonds with the people she trusts and is the kind of dog who wants to be your loyal sidekick through everyday life.

Because of her past, she can be cautious when meeting new people (who isn’t haha). She appreciates slow introductions and a little patience, but once she realizes she’s safe, her sweet, loving personality shines through. She’s also done well with other dogs when introduced thoughtfully.

Lorelai has been working with a professional dog trainer to continue building her confidence and success. She is e-collar trained, house trained, and understands the structure that helps her thrive. Her adoption also includes additional training sessions with her trainer to help set both Lorelai and her new family up for long-term success.
