We unfortunately need to rehome our 5 year old Cane Corso, Biggie. His full name is Bigamo il Brutale and lives up to his name. He is AKC and ICCF registered Italian Mastiff and weighs 125 lbs. Most importantly he is healthy with his hips, elbows, eyes and patella records visable on the Ofa website to view. He comes from a long line of Grand Champion's and reputable breeders amoung which we can share once we meet. He has many great qualities but just to name a few he is loyal, the kind of dog you can take with you on rides, hikes and trips. He loves car rides, and is perfect with long trips. He has gone across the country just him and I. He is smart. He was super stubborn as a puppy but we enrolled him in professionally training at 10 months and he was trained on an E Collar. He still uses it today. He loves to be in your bed to sleep or on the floor if you dont allow it. But really really likes the bed and couch. He gets along with older kids, as he is so strong and big for babies. This is the reason for us having to rehome him. He is becoming very food aggressive. I think a lot of it comes from us not spending a lot of time with him while we just had a baby. He should go to someone who has the time for him. The ideal situation for him would be a person who is a professional trainer, a single person who is confident in the breed, a confident couple with no young kids, no cats, no male dogs, and has the time to spend with him and again a CONFIDENT leader. It is important for him to go with someone who knows the breed and is confident in leading and isnt scared to help train him. He is fully potty trained of course. He can be left alone in the house during the day and will not destroy anything. But would love to come along if he can, even if hes sitting in the truck. :) He loves to play rough with other big dogs but he is still intact. Having another male dog in the house wouldnt be ideal especially for his breed. He is very, very loving. He loves to cuddle and be pet a lot. He is super friendly but again, he is food aggressive. We would love a situation where he is in a house with a person who knows the breed, isnt around male dogs, young kids, and someone who wants to take him on adventures not sit at home. The ideal situation would be giving him a better environment than we are giving him currently. We are so nervous with him around the baby that he is constantly being put in the other room or taken to work. Its not fair to him. With that being said, we will of course need to see where his new home would be too :) We would love to meet you. We can talk rehoming fee depending on situation. See Less
