Selling my 3/4 upright bass (double bass). Interior label reads “Made in Romania – Reghin.” I’ve owned this bass since I was 8–9 years old (I’m 34 now). It’s been with me most of my life (including some touring) and it still plays and sounds great.
This is a great option for a student, jazz player, or anyone wanting a solid 3/4 upright with gig-friendly upgrades (pickup + adjustable bridge) and premium accessories.
Included • 3/4 Upright Bass (Romania – Reghin) • Mooradian padded gig bag (tag shown in photos) • Pickup installed with output jack (see photos) • French bow stamped Zdzislaw Prochownik (stamp photo included) •. Bow quiver for easy transition to pizzicato
Upgrades / Gig-ready • Adjustable bridge (action/height can be raised or lowered) • Pickup installed (ready for amp/PA)
Condition (full transparency) • This bass has cosmetic wear from years of use (edge wear, dings, scuffs — see close-ups). • Cosmetic issues do NOT affect sound or playability — it plays well as-is. • Endpin rubber tip/stop is missing (cheap/easy replacement — noting for stability). • I was quoted up to ~$500 for cosmetic work depending on what a buyer wants addressed, and I’ve priced it accordingly.
Pickup / Testing
Local pickup/meetup only. Serious buyers are welcome to come see it and play-test it in person. I am happy to send extra photos or videos.
