Aeon 2 Noire was one of very first purchases in my audio journey. It has about 10-20 Hours of total use. It was so expensive that I was afraid to use it due to the potential chance of breaking them, thus I have never been able to fully enjoy them. They've been well kept in the back of a closet in its box. Filters were never used, it uses a Balanced XLR drummer cable tho (requires a dedicated amp to drive them to their full potential). They are still arguably one of the best Closed-back Planar Magnetic driver headphones you can get under 1000$ in 2026.
Schiit Jotunheim 2 has more hours put into it. It has the True Multibit Dac card inside of it which makes it a perfect all-in-one Desktop etc Solution. This amplifier is known for its warm, lush, smooth sound signature while providing more than enough power to drive the hardest of headphones through the Balanced XLR Output. The Single-ended output also gives a "tube-like" experience as well so you get the best of both worlds between clean, clear, analytical + warm, lush and smooth, which is perfect for any Music Enjoyers, Movie Watchers and Gamers alike. Pairing this Amplifer with the DCA Aeon 2 Noire is a very strong combo and can be potentially endgame for most!
