Meet Appa! He is an adorable rat, a little over a year old. Rats are playful, energetic and often cuddly animals. Some rat owners even say that rats have puppy like personalities! Rats are herd animals, so Appa will need to be adopted with another rat if you don’t already have any at home to do slow introductions with. Rats living requirements also include a 2ft by 2ft by 4ft enclosure with at least two levels and lots of substrate and enrichment.
