VenmoHi, I am selling these absolutely amazing red oak wood antique file cabinets. They are made by Library Bureau-Makers. The company was started in 1876 by Melville Dewey. The person who also created the Dewey Decimal System. These were made in 1892-1903 and used in libraries t/o the United States. These have been in my family since the early 1960. Prior to this they were in a library in California. The cabinets have one closed side and closed off backs. The hardware is bronze and one dial is missing on the bottom shelf. These dials are used to tighten the files in the cabinet. The wood is in great shape with no major scratches or dents, but still show an amazing history through the wood. These are incredible rare and incredible pieces of US history. I just have no more room for them and it’s time they go to someone else who will love them as much as I do. Height 50” Depth 26.75” Width 19.25 inches ( 40.5 ) roughly for the two Sold as a pair.
