Handfed budgies are much tamer than what you encounter in the pet store. This allows handling from the start and any taming and training to go much further. English are a bit bigger and a bit calmer than the smaller ‘American’ budgies. English are still a budgie, just bred for exhibition. I’ve found them to make better companions.
