Do you need help giving your horses the exercise they need? I am looking for someone up to 15miles from Lehi Ut, who will let me come exercise their horses in exchange for me getting to ride them.
I have taken horse back ridding lessons for 7+ years. I focus mainly on dressage, but I have experience with western, and english/hunter. I have experience with many different horses with varying skill levels including:
-Dressage show horses -Yearlings (groundwork) -Starting horses -Green -Western Riding/Rodeo Horses -trail rides
My approach when working with horses is to first, remember even though the horse has been domesticated it is still a prey animal and has those instincts. Remembering this helps me understand how the horse will react and why. Included in this is I strive to understand what the horse is feeling so I can better know how to help the horse. Whether it’s in pain, anxious, or just being stubborn. Second, I choose to be gentle but stern in the way I train. I want the horse to listen because they want to, not because they are afraid or have no other option. Third, I am in charge, not the horse.
Please reach out with any questions or for more information. Thanks!
