Vintage Clawfoot Bathtub Looking for Its Next Chapter

This old beauty came out of an 1898 house and has clearly lived a life full of long soaks and good stories. I don’t know the exact age of the tub itself, but it is metal (not sure if it’s cast iron). Someone told me if it were cast iron it would probably weigh a lot more — and honestly, this thing is already plenty solid.

It was working when removed. At some point in its life, the side meant to be seen was painted black, giving it a unique vintage look and charm.

I’m only selling because this old gray mare upgraded to a shower for easier living. Otherwise, I’d happily keep it.
