Venmo*IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ: I bought this unit a little over 2 years ago and it has worked great until last week. Last week, it just stopped making ice. Still turns on, says”Making Ice” or “Defrosting”. It is cycling water (drips down the back). I ran a bunch of cleaning cycles, took the back off and vacuumed it out, but still can’t get it to work.
There are a lot of YouTube videos out there of people finding cheap and easy fixes for these machines. I just don’t have the time or patience to figure it out. If you want to take the risk and like to tinker or are good at fixing things, or need parts for another ice maker, you can pick this up for $50. Retails on Amazon for $400+.
